Riptide has more suction than your pool pump. Riptide is a self contained vacuum system that does not use your pool pump to vacuum your pool. Most pool companies use an antiquated means of vacuuming your pool. They do this by attaching a vacuum hose to your skimmer. In-turn this transfers all the dirt in your pool, to your pool into your filter. Doing so congests your filter requiring more pricey filter cleans that YOU have to pay extra for. With all the extra dirt your pool company is adding to your filter each week, it is impossible for your water to circulate the proper amount of gallons per hour required to keep your water as healthy, and clear as possible.
